We asked Wholphin for a program of party films, and they gave us Heavy Metal Jr., which is about a group of British pre-teens who form a death metal band called Hatred, while their parents drive them to band practice and generally clap along. It is one of those stories that shows that life is stranger than fiction. That’s right, it’s a documentary. There’s also films about drunk bees and other crazy shit. Once you watch these, you will be ready for the bands.

This documentary is the record left by seven citizen reporters from Hong Kong, the Toya7dogs, on their trip to protest the 2008 G8 Summit in Lake Toya, Japan. Upon landing in Japan, they were detained by the Japanese government, an action that made papers throughout Asia. The film follows their story and that of other protestors. In this era, anti-globalization is picking up steam as an international movement. This film looks at how it’s taking shape in Asia and what it can accomplish.

短波四：紀錄片
就像蘇格拉底講的，未經檢討反省的生命是沒有生存價值的生命，這些短片是真實的血淚紀錄。「山上」描寫一位泰雅族青年，出獄後，嚮往回到打獵生活，卻幾經波折，現實的嚴峻考驗不斷逼迫而來。「陳跡」1949年大陳島撤退的第一手知料。「莫比烏斯」敘述變性後，如何從新面對人生，也讓別人來接受自己。另外也探討流浪狗議題，人們上班的行程，等等。

That’s right, the unexamined life and all that. These homegrown documentaries are important. Hla Huy is a wonderful documentary on an aboriginal youth who tries to recreate a life for himself after getting out of jail. His dream is simply to hunt, but in this day and age, life is never that simple. Other stories give first-hand accounts of the 1949 immigration from the Dachen Islands, life after switching genders, the stray dog problem and going to work.

無常的天災與人為的失誤造成四川大地震震央一所學校的傾塌並奪走無數孩童生命，究竟真相為何？盤劍林導演用鏡頭展現中國百姓備受壓抑的憤怒絕望與未找出的真相．此過程中我們也能感受到中國人的一種新精神，這不只是老百姓對共產黨和人民共和國願意表示懷疑，更事他們現在相信真相有不可否認的價值，是值得仔細檢查每個所謂的實事與說法。

A feature documentary exploring both the terrible tragedy and the human error that led to the death of 300 school children in China’s Sichuan Province. The camera provides eyewitness evidence that school officials “locked” their students in classrooms during a rest period when the powerful earthquake struck. Already condemned by building officials, the school crumbled to the ground with few managing to escape. In the aftermath of this tragedy, parents bury their only children in shallow graves near the school, and search for a way to express their grief and anger over the event. This controversial documentary nakedly pursues the truth about this incident without fear of government censorship.

誰說老外來台灣只會教英文？薪水高休閒時間多的老外們也會拍些很棒的片子！ 「玻璃箱」遠赴高雄與檳榔西施對話、「Year of the Cock」帶你體驗衝浪的刺激樂趣、「Santa’s Shitty Night」滑稽逗趣讓你笑開懷、「Have a Seat Please」和椅子一起動起來、還有「Chick-A-Wah」裡的變態玩偶！之外還有兩部本土作，衝浪紀錄片「浪人」，以及深入抓娃娃機器的神奇次文化的「Please Insert Coin」。

Who says foreigners just teach English? High salaries and ample leisure also leave time for filmmaking. Here, Matt Finlin delivers his paean to the betel nut girl, “The Glass Box.” There is hyperactive surf editing from Jason Sedor and a hilarious all-night bender by Shawn McClelland in “Santa’s Shitty Night.” But the program is not totally restricted to the confines of the Shida White Ghetto. There’s also Urs P. Twellmann’s animation from Switzerland and Jaco Yu’s poetic surf film “Wave Man.” And “Please Insert Coin” is a fantastic doc that goes deeper into the subculture of Dream Catcher players than we ever thought possible.

This feature documentary film traces the life of Bob Moog (1934-2005) who invented the modern day synthesizer and was a pivotal figure in the history of electronic music, shaping musical styles ranging from Funk to New Wave to Techno. Moog’s story is told here by following he talks with and watches performances by a slew of legendary musicians, including Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Bernie Worrell, Money Mark, DJ Spooky and Mix Master Mike (Beastie Boys). Early on, Moog was captivated by electronic sounds and spent much of his life building synthesizers. The first models were as big as telephone switchboards and required hours of set up. The original soundtrack features Moog music by Stereolab, The Album Leaf, Bernie Worrel & Bootsy Collins, Tortoise and many others.

虛構的那種怪味 Strange as Fiction
「百獄」的故事處於一個未來的高雄，就是那種世界末日之後的場景。其實，跟現在的高雄差沒有很多，有一點可怕．．．更真實的是「拐彎的夏天」，故事中的幾位青年朋友混到棒球場，吸K他命，被警察發現而抓了，可是警察也是青 年之一的老爸。
Yup, head straight into weirdness, this program is all about the dark side. In some films the action is figurative, as in “Nirvana,” where Kaohsiung is turned into a post-apocalyptic city of ghosts. (Talk about hitting the nail on the head!) But there’s also realism. In “The Twisted Summer,” we get a kid who snorts too much ketamine and gets caught by his dad, who’s a cop.

《第二人生》（Second Life）是一款多媒體、即時互動的虛擬世界（virtual world）線上遊戲。這個遊戲沒有打怪、練功、奪寶、關卡，也沒有人來替你設定任務與難易度。當林登實驗室設定規則後，所有你所看見的事物都是使用者自己創造的內容（UGC, User Generated Content）。從自己的身份、身體到設計一個小世界，通通都是自我心境的創造與展現，以及其他心靈的共鳴與迴響。它像是從真實世界走回到自己內心的一個內在之旅：等到你開始覺得無聊的時候，你的旅程正要開始。這個節目總有兩部紀錄片，《第二個我》描述一位德國男士的線上與線下的生活，作為第二人生與第一人生的對比。 2007年在美國Cinemax播放過的《Molotov Alva》則以新的攝影軟體，是完全在第二人生的虛擬世界裡拍的，記錄一位男士脫離人生世界而深入去探索第二人生的各種可能性。

Second Life is a 3D virtual world created in 2003. It now has more than 13 million users globally, up to 60,000 of which can be logged in at any one time. Many believe that Second Life represents an intensification of the way we interact with virtual space. The two documentaries here show Second Life from two different angles. “Second Me” follows Second Life user Bendix. In Real Life (RL), he is an unemployed, single, chainsmoking German man who hardly leaves his apartment. In Second Life (SL), he leads a wild life with beautiful women in a virtual art scene. “Molotov Alva and his Search for the Creator: A Second Life Odyssey” is a groundbreaking work by US director Douglas Gayeton that aired in part on Cinemax in the US in 2007. Having worked with the likes of William Gibson in applying new technologies to storytelling, Gayeton here chose to “film” completely within Second Life, using software that records action in the 3D world. The story consists of the video diaries of Molotov Alva, who has left Real Life behind to embark on a SL quest for higher meaning.

以極寫實手法展現中國東北黑龍江自然美景的紀錄長片，面臨中國政府強制遷移而無家可歸的邊境小民，如何以最原始、最靜默的生存方式堅持他們的冰雪烏托邦，為中國正急速消失的少數族群譜出一首輓歌。故事中，在中國長白山深處，獵人、女人、流浪漢、兩條狗還有一隻貓，組成了一個家庭。他們住在一個廢棄林場的破房子中，周圍幾十里內只有這一戶人家，他們靠冬天狩獵，夏天放幾隻山羊為生。國家在他們住的山下修建了一個水庫供哈爾濱飲用水，要求他們搬遷。冬天裡他們住的破房子被扒掉了一半，一家人在風雪中等待著春天的到來…

This naturalistic feature length documentary beautifully chronicles the strangeness of life on the margins of the world’s most populous country. A couple in a remote shack take in a wandering herdsman and prepare to survive a yet another brutal winter in China’s northeastern hinterland. They live by poaching animals and through everyday kindness and hard work. Mid-winter, the roof of their cottage is torn off by the government, which plans to flood the land to create a reservoir. The film highlights the plight of millions of Chinese who undergo “forced migrations” and paints a stoic picture of human endurance.

An intimate, black and white portrait of Sonic Youth shot by seven high school students who wandered are given all access to roam around backstage and onstage during a concert in Reno, Nevada. Their cameras reveal a strikingly honest account of underground music superstar couple, Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon. Produced by Project Moonshine, a non-profit organization to teach filmmaking skills to students in the hopes they will document events in their communities, the film succeeds through its candor and honesty, peering into the minds of this band that has spent more than two decades on the road. And then there is the music, ten gorgeous songs, filmed from multiple angles and expertly woven together.

100 chronicles the last three months of a cancer stricken woman who has a list of things to do before she dies. Her list of tasks, mostly closures and practical undertakings, expands to the worldly and the spiritual as people close to her share her last days. The film examines the betrayal of the body, celebrates the senses and contemplates the end of life and how to live it. A light-hearted, briskly paced, youthful take on a classic subject, 100 took home the most number of awards from 2008 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival including Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actress. It also won the Audience Choice Award at the 2008 Pusan International Film Festival.

2008年8月，兩支搖滾樂隊，乘坐同一輛巴士，從北京出發，沿途駐演五個中國城市，完成了一場跨越5,768公里的「愛噪音」公路巡演。PK14，哲學詩人氣質的老牌後朋克樂隊，後海大鯊魚，玩唱時尚車庫舞曲的後起新秀，他們是中國獨立搖滾樂隊的兩極。但他們一樣熱血，一樣執著，一樣迷茫卻充滿希望。他們一起上路，一起收集各種聲音，一起在聲音中找尋真相。他們聯合沿途的當地樂隊，在地底，向上，破土——喊出新聲。地面上的人紛紛駐足傾聽。噪音入侵了他們的耳朵，與大腦陷入愛戀。

A documentary on two cutting edge Chinese rock bands, PK14 and Queen Sea Big Shark, covering 5768 km on a tour of China. PK14 is a punk band steeped in philosophy and poetic reference. Queen Sea Big Shark (which played at Hohaiyan last year) is hot-blooded and ready to get wild. They are two poles of China’s emerging scene.

這個電影很壓抑，甚至殘酷，講的是一個搬運工愛上一個被男友逼迫賣淫的姑娘。結尾時候，該散的散，該抓的抓，不該死的死，隨著敲木魚的和尚超度聲，看見這幾個字：「永遠年輕,永遠熱淚盈眶——凱路亞克」。整個電影基調都用灰黃色，象黃連一樣，苦澀的讓人難受。《草芥》被從全球330個電影項目中被選拔出來，獲得2006年秋季荷蘭鹿特丹國際電影節HBF獎金（和很多國外基金一樣，HBF旨在幫助發展中國家富有才華和革新精神的電影導演實現其夢想）。

Kunstmarktbasel (Kmb) 是一個2006年成立於瑞士巴塞爾的藝術團隊（Kunst =藝術, markt =市場, Basel =巴塞爾），成員數目因應每次的計劃而變動，他們一方面進行著團隊的合作項目開發，個人也持續自己的創作，涵蓋範圍包括繪畫、文物、文字、照片、電影、音樂。此單元將展演Kmb團隊所創作的短篇影像，內有動畫、錄像以及實驗影片，瞬間鎮攝神經。

Kunstmarktbasel (Kmb) is a group of artists, founded in 2006 by Daniel Staudenmann in Basel, Switzerland. The personal composition and number of the members change from project to project. On the one hand we develop projects together, on the other hand we are present individual works. Works are realized in different media: paintings, objects, installations, texts, photos, films, performances, music. The films of Kunstmarktbasel are stylistically and technically very different one from each other: digital or digitally edited analogue material; filmed with a camera or computer-generated; edited films from multimedia- based installations; documentary, poetic, abstract etc. Vital topics addressed include the relationship between art and economy, language and society, and a target-oriented fatalism against all adversities – (n)utopia. (Urs P. Twellmann is Swiss and included in this program, but he is not a Kmb member.)

最新消息： 電影的時間表會4月初宣佈，影展4月24日至5月3日在台北藝術村，5月8至9日在南海藝廊舉行。

首先感謝所有來投件的導演與創作著，有一些影片真的太棒了，讓我們又笑又哭，真好期待播放。至於上面的標題裡的這個問題，有一些朋友寫email給我們問，不過因為今年的投件量很大，而且大約投件的一半是這幾天才收到了 （南昌街郵局的郵差真忙，因此我們也烤爐把他們列為 sponsor 之一），所以沒辦法回信給每一個人。4月初，節目表要出來了，那時我們會通知所有的投件者。還有，大家慢慢等待時，就跟個位分享我們今年收到的最妙的email，請大家欣賞一下：

在幾天前看到貴單位的消息
剛好我們現在正在進行畢業專題的製作
於是我就有了想投件的念頭

但是很不幸我們的拍攝時間一直到3/10才結束
一直到3/11的晚上七點多也就是剛剛才剪接完粗剪的版本
然後我聽說郵局開到八點
我就騎了20分鐘的車程到台南郵政總局
沒想到到那邊的時候剛好鐵門拉下來
我心想天哪不會這麼幸運吧
就差那麼一分鐘就可以寄出去了
後來沒有辦法想說明天再寄好了
我就又花了20分鐘的車程騎回家
回家msn又聽到朋友說
剛剛去的那個地方有快捷郵件的窗口
而且開到晚上十點半
我一聽到就馬上衝去了
當然也順利將郵件寄出了
不過再騎回家的路上
我想一想
我自己搞錯意思了
11號是截止收件
11號晚上寄去就算明天中午前到也沒什麼用

會寄這封email的目的
主要不是為了要你們延長收件時間(當然如果貴單位能夠收我的作品那是再好也不過)
其實是覺得這次的過程讓我印象深刻

4月24日開幕 ~ ~ ~ ~

最近忙著看投件，訂場地等各種準備措施，不過因為剛上了網，就想跟大家分享一下，google 分析工具真的太吊了！我們查得出來此網站的造訪次數的 77.62% 來自台灣，9.83% 來自中國大陸，3.51% 來自香港，其他值得算有美國，德國，荷蘭，英國，瑞士等國家。那麼，特別讓我們高興的是那 9.83% 的來自大陸的訪客，這是因為北投溫泉的大陸訪客比例應該沒有 9.83% 這麼高，所以我們也希望這可以證明城市遊牧有資格申請觀光局的補助，也能被列為台灣的觀光點！不過鼎泰豐的日本客人比例可能還比9.83%高了一些 ~~~ 那麼，我們還要努力吧！

至於具體消息的部份，其實沒有很多，只因為網站流量最近比較大，所以覺得應該寫一些甚麼。今年影展的期間是4月24日至5月3日，地點跟去年一樣在台北藝術村，5月8－9日也打算在南海藝廊辦一些好玩的東西，4月25日會辦很棒的開幕派對，國外影片有 Sonic Youth 的新紀錄片，來自舊金山的 Wholphin《鯨豚》DVD 雜誌的許多短片以及策劃人 Brent Hoff，之外今年大家寄來的投件越來越好，我們也很期待 ! 放映時刻表大約春吶之前會出來。

hi one and all. the above is just some untranslatable jokes we wrote while looking through all the submissions. basically, we're just writing this post because we have lots of web traffic at the moment. also, we can announce the festival will be from 4/24 - 5/3 at Taipei Artist Village, the same location as last year, and we will probably also do a weekend at Nanhai Gallery on 5/8-9, and of course there's the opening party on 4/25. Invited films will include the new Sonic Youth documentary, a couple of awesome programs from the San Francisco DVD magazine Wholphin, whose editor Brent Hoff will join us here in Taipei, and some other great stuff. Also, the submissions are looking really good. Thanks to everyone who sent films. We're hard at work reviewing them now. We should have a schedule ready by the beginning of April!

Call for Submissions for the 8th Annual Urban Nomad Film Fest

NT$12,000 in prizes! New section for video art! We need volunteers！

The Urban Nomad Film Fest is now accepting entries for its 2009 festival, to take place in Taipei and Hsinchu in late April and early May. We will give NT$12,000 in prizes for the best short local films. The entry deadline is March 11 (extended from March 1).

We are also looking for VOLUNTEERS, especially translators and event staff. If you’re interested, please apply through our website.

People keep asking us what our theme is, so we came up with “Sex, Drugs and Human Rights” for 2009. If you have no idea what that means, don’t worry about it. We’re looking for films that are: weird, funny, extreme, socially concerned, political, sex-related, documentary, rock ‘n roll, skate/surf, experimental, etc., etc. This year we will create a second, special screen for video art. Get excited. It’ll be near the beer.

Rules and Suggestions:

- Films under 15 minutes stand a greater chance of getting accepted.
- Priority will be given to films with both Chinese and English: in other words, Chinese language films should English subtitles, and all other films should have Chinese subtitles.
- Films should be produced no later than 2007.
- Do not submit the same film you submitted in previous years.
- You must fill out one application form per film.
- Each film should be on its own DVD.
- You can send more than one DVD per package.
- Please send regular mail or registered mail. Please do not use express mail or courier delivery.

If your film or is accepted, you will be invited to an opening party, toasted royally, and if you can speak at the screening of your film, that would be awesome!

We've almost sorry to say we already have more than enough volunteers. You people are really awesome!

International Applications:
We are very happy to receive submissions from outside Taiwan and even outside of Asia. Every year we include international feature-length films and documentaries, shorts and experimental works. We also invite a few overseas directors to screen their films and speak. If you have a feature-length film, please let us know about it by late January, which is when we usually decide on feature programming. Please know that our core programming is about films related to Taiwan or Asia, and that it is much easier for us to show films that are in Chinese or have Chinese subtitles. (No dialogue is also good.) That said, we are also have a thing for films and videos related to new technologies, that are socially or environmentally conscious, and that show how global changes affect us all. If you believe you have a great film that fits our style, we’re very happy to take a look.

策展人的廢話 / CURATOR'S STATEMENT

本屆台北雙年展一揭幕，城市游牧影展將免費放映六個禮拜的獨立電影來與這個藝術享宴共襄盛舉。這些影片將包括台灣和其他國家的記錄片、劇情長片和短片，不僅精彩好看同時影片也傳遞種種社會運動要求改革與啟發的訊息。影片題材很多是難得一見的，例如投奔北韓的美國叛兵、奈及利亞的電影工業、日本的選舉造勢、還有攻擊大企業文化的惡搞兵團等等。有些影片則成功示範讓人耳目一新的社運模式，像是《幫派》這部講菲律賓流氓嘻哈饒舌風的電影，就因為真的找不同幫派流氓一起來演，結果促成了這幾個幫派械鬥真的熄火停止。其它還有影片探討像是民主、移民、以及我們的政治/媒體現象。要強調的是，所有影片都是以我們平凡百姓的角度來探討問題；都是以一種不唱高調的精神，讓看過影片的觀眾覺得受用，進而在他們的現實生活裡實踐，以期成為好的世界公民。

創立於2002年立基於台北，沒有政府或大企業的金援，城市游牧影展獨資提供地下電影和獨立電影與觀眾交流的平台。目前我們的目標是培養出一個能認同欣賞短片、記錄片和劇情片創作的觀眾群；然後引介我們這個在地的獨立電影社群給其他在東亞和東南亞的獨立電影社群。而基本上，城市游牧影展就是一個每個人都歡迎來的場合，我們的電影帶動觀眾議論的話題，而絕不是對觀眾填鴉洗腦。

Following the opening of the Taipei Biennial, the Urban Nomad Film Fest will keep the exhibition’s spirit alive through six weeks of free screenings of indie films. The films will include documentaries, features and shorts from Taiwan and around the world that entertain while also speaking to movements for change and social awareness. Films will cover subjects like an American defector to North Korea, Nigeria’s film industry, a Japanese election campaign, and anti-corporate pranksters. Several films offered new modes of activism, like Tribu, a drama about Filipino hip hop gangs that created a real gangland truce by bringing gang members together as actors in the film. Other films focus intently on issues like democracy, migrations, and our political/media environment. Most importantly, all of them approach issues from the level of the common man or woman. They carry a sense of practical idealism that viewers can take away with them, apply in their lives, and hopefully become better citizens of our world.

Urban Nomad is a self-funded platform for underground and indie films founded in 2002 and based in Taipei. Our immediate goals are to create community-level support for producers of short films, documentaries and narrative films, then to connect our local indie film community to others in East Asia and Southeast Asia. More generally, Urban Nomad is a place where people can come together. We want to use films to start discussions, not brainwash people with movies.

洪子健的短片 Short Films by James Hong (35分鐘)
洪子健 (James Hong)，一位來自舊金山的電影人，將紀錄片變成了哲學推論的工具。James的電影從來不試圖表現任何客觀事實，反而呈現出高度的主觀看法，用一種揭露和檢視的方式來支持人們對於這個世界最初的觀感。James的短片主要著眼在西方與中國及台灣的跨文化關係上。 短片包括：Suprematist Kapital (洪子健、陳瀅如導5min) 、中美關係寫照(Portrait of a Sino-American Friendship)(8min) 、台北101：旅行記錄症候群(Taipei 101: A Travelogue of Symptoms)(23min) 。

James Hong is a San Francisco-based filmmaker who has turned documentary into a discursive tool. His films do not attempt to show an objective reality, but instead present a highly subjective view of the world in a attempt to unveil and examine the concepts that underpin how we see the world in the first place. In this program, he turns his scathing eye towards the cross-cultural relationships between the West and Taiwan and China.

A documentary about the human effects of women who marry their way out of poor Asian countries and into rich Asian countries, the film traces the modern history of foreign brides from Japan to Korea and Taiwan. A close look is given to how the trend began, the reasons governing the supply and demand of international marriage, and how this is changing things on both sides of the deal.

奈及利亞的電影，也就是奈萊塢的電影，全部用數位影片拍攝，在西非人氣高漲，甚至比外來的好萊塢跟寶萊塢電影還要受歡迎。現在幾乎是一天完成一部電影，使奈萊塢成為全球第三大電影工業。導演詹米 • 梅澤爾 (Jamie Meltzer) 旅行到了奈及利亞的首都拉哥斯，這裡簡直就是一片混亂。他花了六週的時間，跟隨奈及利亞三位炙手可熱的導演，全面性探討奈及利亞電影獨特的性格及類型，以及對西非文化和海內外非洲人的影響。

The Nigerian film industry, known as Nollywood, has exploded as the most popular cinema in all of west Africa--even more popular than imports of Hollywood or Bollywood films-- by shooting all films on digital video. Now almost a new film is finished almost everyday and Nollywood is the third-largest film industry in the world, Traveling to the country's chaotic capitol, Lagos, director Meltzer spent six weeks following three of Nigeria's hottest directors and examining the Nigerian video-film industry as a whole, its unique character and genres, as well as its impact on the culture of west Africa and Africans at home and abroad.

40歲的山口過著平靜的單調生活，直到自民黨意外地推舉他參選川崎市議員。山口從來沒有參與過政治活動，沒有領導能力、贊助者、更沒有人擁護他，甚至沒有時間準備即將到來的選舉。這部影片深入了這個運作「日式民主」的歐吉桑團體，並敘述山口是如何地被他們洗腦。

Forty-year-old "Yama-san" Yamauchi leads a peaceful, humdrum life until Japan's politically dominant Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) suddenly chooses him as its official candidate to run for a vacant seat on the Kawasaki city council. Yama-san had zero experience in politics, no charisma, no supporters, no constituency, and no time to prepare for the impending election. The film goes deep inside the old-boy club that runs Japanese-style “democracy,” and how Yama-san is indoctrinated into their ranks.

面對著國內數不清的問題，包括政府貪腐、警察濫用暴力、民生潦倒，菲律賓的電影人們團結在一起，發出反對的聲音。這個系列主要來自Southern Tagalog Exposure激進主義電影全集，我們將會播放幾部動畫片，包括呼籲起訴菲律賓格洛麗亞·阿羅約總統的動畫短片系列 (Arrest Gloria Shorts)和其他電影。

In the face of enormous national problems, including government corruption, police brutality and abject poverty, Filipino filmmakers have banded together to create an opposition voice. One of the main collectives in called Southern Tagalog Exposure, and here we show their animations, the“Arrest Gloria Shorts,”and other films.

記者Jim Libiran為了他的第一部電影，走訪馬尼拉最危險的貧民窟，雇用這些青少年幫派分子在這部關於貧民窟幫派鬥爭的電影中演出。過程中他竟然真的讓這些部落幫派休戰，寫下了一個勇敢的故事。

For his first feature film, journalist Jim Libiran went into the most dangerous slum in Manila, and recruited real teenage gangsters to act in his film about the slum’s gang wars. The gangs model themselves on US hip hop stars, and view freestyle rapping as a way of life. By using real members of rival gangs as actors in the film, director Libiran both created an extreme sense of realism and brought about an even more real truce between the gangs.

Odds and Ends 有的沒的 (35分鐘)
有的沒的集合了一些短片及MV，由來自美國奧勒崗州波特蘭的卡 • 林德 (Karl Lind) 策劃。其中很多影片是來自當地興盛的地下音樂，混合了自由評論和迷幻、高度制式化的視覺效果。這正是城市遊牧影展想要用這種方式來連結基層社會大眾，用一種對環境共同的目標來增進人們的溝通。

Odds and Ends is a collection of short films and music videos from Portland, Oregon in the US and curated by Karl Lind. Many of the videos are inspired by the thriving local indie music scene, and the aesthetic is a mix of liberal critique and trippy, highly stylized visuals. It’s the kind of grassroots media community we at Urban Nomad try to forge links with, as a way of increasing communication between dispersed global citizens with common goals for the planet.

The Yes Men (80分鐘)

The Yes Men是一個不分性別也沒有領導人的行動主義團體。來自世界各地三百多個騙子，投入這個金錢交易的大雜院。他們問問題，然後將所有答案偷渡出去，讓大眾得以瞥見商業世界背後，人們所不知道的種種。這部影片接下來是一些反大企業行動主義者在電視上及各地商業會議模仿WTO發言人的樣子。

The Yes Men is a movie based on the activist group of the same name, which is now a genderless, loose-knit association of some 300 impostors worldwide who agree their way into the fortified compounds of commerce, ask questions, then smuggle out the stories to provide a public glimpse at the behind-the-scenes world of business. The film follows a couple of anti-corporate activist-pranksters as they impersonate World Trade Organization spokesmen on TV and at business conferences around the world.

Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars

獅子山的難民樂隊是一個由六個音樂人組成的樂團，他們為了躲避獅子山的長期的內戰，逃離了自己的家鄉，最後在一個難民營中聚在一起，錄製了第一張唱片，在戰後第一次回到了那殘破不堪的家園。這部影片敘述了一群人在戰火中生存，並使得整個國家相信了音樂療癒力量的故事。

Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars is a group of six musicians who fled their home country to escape a decade-long civil war and ended up coming together to form a band in a refugee camp. The film tracks them as they tour different refugee camps, record their first album, and return to their ravaged country for the first time since the war. It is the story of a group of men rising from the ashes to inspire a nation to believe in the healing power of music.

Skateboarding has become a bigger world subculture than maybe anyone ever thought it should be. Nichols and Charnoski make their skate films using 8mm film, which distills an aesthetic dimension of skating seldom associated with this sport-cum-lifestyle.
