Radiohead 的 Thom Yorke，聯合國前任秘書長 Kofi Annan 都要參與這場同一天在45個國家的全球首映，電影是 《愚蠢時代》，洛杉磯時報評論這部紀錄片說是戈爾的《絕望真相》再加個性，下個星期二下午在台北免費放映，城市遊牧非常榮幸作為協辦單位，這場之後台灣不 一定有第二次放映，大家趕快上網報名！（點上下面的連接，看網頁的下右）

The Age of Stupid may be the most important film you’ll see this year, and the worldwide premier happens next Tuesday in 45+ countries around the world, including a free screening in Taipei. Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan will be among those attending the premier of a film the LA Times has called “An Inconvenient Truth but with a personality.” This may be the first and last public screening in Taipei, and Urban Nomad is very happy to be a part of it. 特別放映《水乳交融》~~ 這個很色的嘍 ^^

大家好，我們遊牧影展突然有個比較特別的機會，這個星期六晚上8點能給大家播放一部由美國藝術家 Lawrence Weiner 拍的22分鐘短片電影《水乳交融》 (Water in Milk Exists)，影片製作人平川典俊會在現場談談影片內容與自己的攝影創作。美國的重要藝術雜誌 Art Forum 如此評論《水乳交融》：「這部非敘述性A片充滿一群20幾歲者彼此操，吮，弄，手淫等行為，全部發生在紐約瑞士當代藝術研究院的Soho區空間與唐人街的攝影棚裡。在影片裡，激起性慾望的色情場面以及關於 "各人對現實的定義” 和 “弦理論” 的冗長而勉強的哲學想法一直交替，就像導演一直在玩一個讓我們感到激動的開關，性慾望的引起又開了又關了。」（閱讀原文）這麼說呢，大家大概已經明白，如果A片、gay片、手淫、口交會冒犯到你，那這場放映會就不是你的菜。影片會有中文字幕 （現在正很趕地做），放映前後也有中文的解釋。

若你沒聽過平川典俊，他來自日本，住在紐約，是一位國際藝術圈子裡有知名度的藝術家，最有 ~~嗯，或許可以說他具有 “名氣” 的攝影系列是由典俊要求很多女生是否可以借用她們的相機來拍她們的裙底風光而創作出來。這次的活動在非常廟藝文空間舉行，為呼應Chi-Wen 畫廊於9月12日舉辦的平川典俊個展 UNFOLD UNIVERSE，展覽於當日下午 3-6點開幕。放映會沒有入場費，但觀眾至少消費一杯飲料。總的來說這是瞭解古怪的平川典俊談論他的藝術，以及他如何遊走在情色邊緣的難得機會。

Water In Milk Exists: 9/12 @ VT Art Salon

Hi everybody. We quite suddenly were presented with the opportunity to show you something rather weird, a 22-minute film by American artist Lawrence Weiner called WATER IN MILK EXISTS. It happens this Saturday at 8pm, and the film's producer Noritoshi Hirakawa will be there to talk about both the film and his own work. Noritoshi is an interesting character, an internationally known art photographer who is famous for taking pictures of women's underwear. The screenign will take place at VT Art Salon, and admission only requires that you buy one drink.

But before you come, we should probably mention that if you are easily offended by porn, gay porn, blow jobs, or abstruse philosophy, this just might not be for you. Here is how one of the world's top art magazines Art Forum reviewed the film: "This nonnarrative porn is full of twenty-somethings fucking, sucking, playing, and masturbating in the Swiss Institute’s SoHo loft and a Chinatown photo studio. Scenes alternate between often-thrilling hardcore porn and contrived and tedious philosophical musings about 'personal definitions of reality' and 'string theory.' Like a switch flicked too soon, stimulation teasingly turns on and off." (Read the entire review.) Also, the film is in English with Chinese subtitles. Discussions and an introduction to the film will be bilingual in English and Chinese.

This screening of Water in Milk Exists will be held in conjunction with Noritoshi's exhibition UNFOLD UNIVERSE at Chi-Wen Gallery, which opens earlier the same day from 3-6pm. This is a rare chance to hear the often outlandish Noritoshi discuss his art and its relation to pornography.

COSPLAY – 陳明秀與其他導演以探討青年打扮成漫畫人物的短片與實驗片。

Even when we hate cosplay, we LOVE cosplay!! This section includes short films by Mia Chen and two other directors. The cool thing about Mia Chen's shorts is that even though she comes at Cosplay from an academic background, she stays away from analysis and heavy theoretical framework that would kill her subject, and instead focuses on getting into the heads of the kids she meets. What Chen does is show the imaginative process of these teens go as they dress like their cartoon heroes.

What kind of Japanese doll would you like to buy and live with, if you had the opportunity? In this docudrama, the gifted doctor ‘Madame Remedy’ (Nam Kung) highlights Chinese people's search for otherworldly alter ego’s. Madame Remedy points to a wide variety of cases where people seek the innocence and gender-fluidity of dolls, to embellish or alter the greyness of the everyday. She illustrates her case-study by showing snippets of the lives of Kigurumi cosplayers, Adult Video movies, fans of Boy Love animations, and owners of Ball-Jointed Dolls. Males and females alike explore Japanese excess as commodity exchange and identity transformation, falling in love with dolls or doll components in ways that are least expected - Katrien Jacobs.

來自網絡的 Flash 動畫次文化年輕創作者，卜樺住北京，曾參與過兩屆城市遊牧影展。因為她的作品太吊了，這也不是說我們喜歡她而已，2008年她參與釜山雙年展與上海雙年展亞洲的兩個大雙年展，最近大陸歌手左小詛咒也請她做一個新MV，受藝術與獨立音樂各種肯定，所以這次很高興能與卜樺合作在 Art Taipei 2009，做這個特別的節目。以下是卜樺的一個簡單訪問，讓大家更了解她的作品：

妳作品裡面的這個少女生是妳嗎？
一般看完我的系列數字繪畫的人都會說：這不就是你嘛。我開始覺得她不像，直到後來給她的表情畫得很“超然”，沒什麼笑容，我突然覺得她有了生命力。

她住在怎麼樣的世界？
基本上就是我每個階段的所謂“精神世界”，野生的，懷舊的，超現實的景象，表現的是現實中的感受和人的心性。

妳為甚麼喜歡用Flash來創作？
說到底想要的東西還是“自由”，這是我關於人生的答案。做“藝術”好像是我能想到的最好的途徑了，而做Flash是我能想到的做“藝術”的最好的途徑之一。到後來一切都是關乎精神層面的。但是獨立並不等於自由，獨立的人很多，自由的人很少。怎麼樣才算自由的人？我的答案也很簡單：做一個無所畏懼的人，那你就是自由的。自由相伴著真正的喜悅。

對現在的年輕人，網絡算不算重要發表的頻道？對妳自己呢？
當然很重要了，改變新一代人類的處世性格。我很討厭出去“兜售”自己，現在不用了。很多人只需要在家做喜歡的事情，剩下的就是別人來找到他/她。

Bu Hua got her chops in the China's flash animation web sites, a free-trade zone for ideas that's a universe unto itself. Even though we have been showing her work for the last two years, it's not just that we love her stuff. In 2008, she was invited to show works in the Pusan and Shanghai Biennials, and she has lately been comissioned to create a music video for legendary Beijing indie singer Zuoxiao Zuzhou. To help you understand Bu Hua's works a bit more by letting her speak for herself, here is a short interview conducted specially for this exhibition:

Who is the girl in your animations? Is it you?
Lots of people see the figure in my digital drawings and ask, "Isn’t that you?" I’m starting to think she’s not. Lately, the expression I’ve been giving her has been really detached, with no smile. Now, suddenly I feel like she’s taking on a life of her own.

What kind of world does this girl live in?
Basically it's what you might call the different phases of my own psychic world. The scenes are wild, nostalgic and surreal. They express feelings and states of mind from real life.

Why do you like to use Flash to make art?
My take on life is that the thing I'm really after is freedom. Making "art" is the best route for taking me there, and using Flash is one of the best routes to making "art" I've found. In the end, everything is about states of mind. But independence is not the same as freedom. There are many people who are independent, but few who are free. So what does it mean for a person to be free? My answer is simple: To fear nothing is to be free. And the companion of freedom is true happiness.

Is the Internet an important place for young people to express themselves? Is it important for you?
Of course it's really important. For the new generation, it's changed the nature of our place on earth. I really hate to go out and "sell myself," and now I don't have to. A lot of people can just stay home and do the things they like to do, and as for the rest, people will come find them.

The Yes Men are a duo of media jamming activists, who among other things, have posed as representative of Dow Chemicals in an interview with BBC World, then told the world they would put US$12.1 billion to compensation and cleanup of the 1984 Bhopal gas disaster, the worst industrial accident in history. The Yes Men have two feature films to date （check the trailer for the new one below). For this segment, they've given us a selection of rare clips and outtakes, some of which have never been seen before. We've made a mashup of these, throwing in a couple of surf/skate videos for flavor.

The Yes Men were at Taipei 101 this morning testing the Halliburton SurvivaBall and irritating building security. Their new film, The Yes Men Save the World, is playing at the Taipei Film Festival and will probably be released in Taiwan this fall.

After riding an inflatable raft and losing his tuxedo at the Urban Nomad 2009 party in April, he went on to play 36 shows in 36 days touring America. Now he's ready for one more in Taiwan. 曾於日本最有名的搖滾音樂節Fuji Rock受大歡迎的這位 lo-fi 高手，接著4月初在夜巴黎的遊牧影展開幕派對的High舞狂表演，接著美國36天36站的迅速巡迴，Bob Log III 再次來台演出，若你對 punk 或blues 或 lo-fi 音樂感興趣, 你非來不可!

Bob Log III可說是原汁原味的密西西比河三角洲布魯斯 (Mississippi Delta blues) 樂手，用手彈吉他，用腳踢/打鼓，穿著一件砲彈服裝與摩托車安全帽唱歌！露骨的巫毒玩意兒讓女人爭相上台在Bob的腿上活蹦亂跳。Bob師承RL Burnside從Mississippi Fred McDowell學到的風格，繼續粗糙錄音的藍調傳統與創新，還加朋克精神。音樂生涯始於Doo Rag 樂團, 曾與Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Beck, 和Ween巡迴表演。鼓手不見了之後，兩人團變單人團，他就繼續依靠他自己的獨特風味透過美國著現代名布魯斯唱牌 Fat Possum 出過三張專輯。現場演出裡，大放異彩的轟動全場是正常的! 他將讓你盡情舞動、忘情揮手，也許你抬頭還會發現他駕著小船遨遊在無限膨脹的夜空中！
