We'll be doing screenings of Europe-based indie Directors James Hong, Chen Yin-ju and Simon Chang for the opening of the group exhibition "Mobile Man" at NTUE's new Wolong St. art space. There's a party after the screenings, we'll provide some white russians, and it's FREEE!!!

長度14分鐘的紀錄片,是張雍在近兩年在布拉格所進行的拍攝計畫,目前還在持續紀錄中,紀錄捷克 A 片工業不為人知的一面,用影像的蒙太奇,寫實的紀錄手法,加上訪談,對這個神秘的行業提問。《Praha Erotica》獲選於本屆Transmediale - Festival for art and digital culture Berlin 藝術節中以台灣影像工作者的身份代表捷克參展放映。這部影片同時也將收藏於歐盟近年開始計畫的自1989年起至2009年的東歐錄像資料庫的一部份,是歐盟近年所規劃的重點影像建檔計畫。繼續閱讀

This Praha Erotica documentary series is not only a behind-the-scenes story of the porn industry in Prague, Czech Republic. With this image montage, I try to question the human side of this trade. After all, for those actors and actress going to the set and having sex with someone they hardly know as a daily/weekly job is certainly far beyond the imagination of most of us. This human side of this business intrigues me, but I’m not trying to make any conclusions here. Instead, I focus on what’s happening on what’s behind the cameras. DIRECTORS IN FOCUS: CHEN YIN-JU and JAMES T. HONG
Chen Yin-ju and James T. Hong are an interdisciplinary art team, producing installations, performances, and film and video works. They have exhibited in the Pompidou Center in Paris and Riena Sofia Museum in Madrid and shown films in the San Francisco International Film Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival and International Documentary Festival, Amsterdam. They are best known for experimental documentaries portray some of histories deepest ironies in a style that is highly watchable and often funny, despite the grave overtones of their larger message. The six films selected for this program range across the anniversary of Hitler’s death, Japanese biological warfare in WWII, the sexual capital of the white man and other fun topics. CONTINUE READING
